Alessandra Marianelli - Flaminia
Alessandra
Marianelli is considered one of the most promising sopranos of her generation.
Ms Marianelli started an international career that brought her to sing in major
opera houses and festivals. In September 2010 she made her United States debut
performing in Don Giovanni with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Roberto
Abbado conducting. She then appeared as Xenja in Boris Godunov in Turin.
She sang Rossini’s Stabat Mater in Florence under the baton of Zubin
Mehta; Un Ballo in Maschera at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo; La Serva
Padrona at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi (filmed by Unitel and issued as a
DVD); Ein deutsches Requiem in Rome. She also added other important roles
to her repertoire: Musetta (La Bohème) in Riga and Florence, Cherubino (Le
Nozze di Figaro) at the Teatro Real de Madrid, Juliette (Roméo et
Juliette) at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, under Fabio Luisi.
Ms. Marianelli lately returned to
Jesi singing in Spontini’s La Fuga in Maschera (Corrado Rovaris
conducting), then revived in Naples, La Sonnambula in Monte-Carlo, Carmen (Micaëla)
at the Macerata Opera Festival and at the Teatro Regio in Turin, Gianandrea
Noseda conducting, Ricciardo e Zoraide (Zoraide) in Bad Wildbad, La
Sonnambula at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Così fan Tutte in
Cagliari. Ms
Marianelli recently made her debut as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni.
Among
her future plans, it is worth mentioning La Bohème (Musetta) in
Genoa, Il Campiello in Florence and she will participate in Julietta
at the Opernhaus in Zurich.
